This unique attraction celebrated the life and accomplishments of legendary baseball player Ted Williams, who was also known for his skills as a fisherman.

The attraction was located at 3445 W. Homosassa Trail in Hernando, Florida.

The museum opened its doors in 1994 and quickly became a popular destination for baseball fans and fishing enthusiasts alike.

The museum featured exhibits that showcased the life and career of Ted Williams, including his accomplishments as a player and his love of fishing.

The museum's exhibits included items from Ted Williams' personal collection, such as his baseball gloves, jerseys, and bats.

Visitors could also see rare photos and videos of Williams' playing days and learn about his impact on the game of baseball.

In addition to the baseball exhibits, the museum also had displays dedicated to fishing, including Williams' personal fishing gear and photos of his biggest catches.

The Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame was more than just a museum, however. It was also a place where visitors could meet and interact with baseball players and other celebrities.

The museum hosted events throughout the year, including autograph sessions, charity fundraisers, and tournaments.

Sadly, the Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame closed its doors in 2013.

The museum faced financial difficulties and struggled to compete with other attractions in the area.

Despite efforts to keep the museum open, including a move to a new location, the museum ultimately closed for good.
