San Sebastian Winery was founded in 1996, and is located in a historic and restored Florida East Coast Railway building.
It is located just a few blocks from historic downtown St. Augustine.
The grapes that are used in San Sebastian wines are from the 80 acre Lakeridge Winery and Vineyards in Clermont.
The Cox family owns both of these Florida wineries.
They also have large acreage in the Panhandle and get grapes from other growers in the Southeast.
San Sebastian has many types of wine, including table, sparkling and dessert wines. They even have port and sherry. Their wines are made from hybrid and muscadine grapes.
They have won over 300 awards for their wines.
The winery has a large attractive wine tasting room and wine shop, and produces over 960,000 bottles of wine each year. San Sebastian wines are also sold at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida.
They are also set up for buying wine online through their website. You can also buy online some of the best wine gift baskets in Florida. Private wine labels are also available for special events like birthdays, anniversaries, or just plain fun.
“The Cellar Upstairs” is a wine, jazz and blues bar on the rooftop terrace of the winery building.
It is very popular with locals.
The Cellar is open on weekends, and has a wide variety of live music from local and regional groups.
It's a great place to escape the hustle bustle and noise of tourist packed old historical downtown.
It's fun and relaxing to unwind with a glass of good wine and appetizers while enjoying the historic St. Augustine skyline. The music is a bonus.
