The Lakeside Inn has been in business since 1883.  It is on the east shore of Lake Dora.  It is someplace special and is the centerpiece of the charming town of Mount Dora.

Owners Jim and Alexandra Gunderson have been steadily renovating the 87 guest rooms and are dedicated to preserving this oldest continuously operating example of all Florida historic hotels.

The hotel has five buildings on the property located on naturally landscaped land with oak trees draped in Spanish Moss. 

There is also a swimming pool and pool bar overlooking the white sand beach of Lake Dora.

Two docks extend into the lake for viewing the scenery or catching a captained boat ride or seaplane flight.

The spacious Victorian lobby has polished wooden floors, a fireplace, a grand piano, and several comfortable seating areas.

Lakeside Inn has become a popular location for wedding ceremonies and receptions.  They also have conference and meeting facilities.

The 200 foot long front veranda is a favorite spot to watch sunsets for locals and tourists alike. 

There are comfortable rocking chairs where you can sit and enjoy a drink and the setting sun.

There are several dining options at the Lakeside Inn.

The Beauclaire Dining Room has large windows with garden views and features breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  

Tremainʹs Lounge (with a fireplace and music), features a long bar and several tables for a cozy setting to have a meal.
