Located 12 miles north of Tallahassee on Centerville Road, Bradley’s Country Store offers a nostalgic glimpse into Florida’s rural past.
Since 1927, this family-owned establishment has been renowned for its homemade sausage, stone-ground grits, and warm Southern hospitality.
Visitors are drawn to its rustic charm, complete with a welcoming front porch and the comforting aroma of smoked meats.
The origins of Bradley’s trace back to 1910 when Mary Bradley began selling sausage from her kitchen.
By 1927, the growing demand led to the construction of the current store, which became a hub for local goods and services.
Over the years, additional structures like a cane syrup house, grist mill, and smokehouse were added, creating a complex that now encompasses 17 buildings over 31 acres.
In recognition of its cultural and historical importance, the store was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
Bradley’s Country Store is located at 10655 Centerville Road, Tallahassee, FL 32309.
It operates Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
Visitors can enjoy a leisurely drive under canopy-covered roads leading to the store, where they can relax on the front porch or at picnic tables under sprawling oak trees.
The store offers a variety of products, including their famous smoked sausage, milled grits, and a selection of jams, jellies, and pickled items.
